My Story

Welcome to my London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 fundraising page for Cosmic!

On Sunday 12 April 2026 I’m running the London Landmarks Half Marathon in support of children’s and paediatric intensive care units, a cause that means everything to me and my family.

During our first pregnancy scan, our son Noah was diagnosed with a heart condition, and as the pregnancy progressed we were referred to specialist consultants who confirmed he had a complex heart defect, later diagnosed with CHARGE Syndrome — a condition so rare it affects only a small number of babies worldwide. Because of its rarity and the wide range of symptoms, CHARGE syndrome can be difficult to diagnose, and many children require highly specialised, multidisciplinary care, particularly from neonatal and paediatric intensive care teams.

As Noah’s due date approached, his birth was carefully planned so he could receive immediate specialist care and undergo heart surgery. From the moment he was born, Noah was cared for in intensive care and monitored around the clock.

Tragically, within his first two days he developed a chest infection, meaning surgery was no longer possible and his condition rapidly deteriorated. After heartfelt discussions with the incredible ICU team, we were faced with the most devastating decision and said goodbye to Noah as he passed peacefully in his mother’s arms.

Noah was only with us for seven short days, but in that time he gave us a lifetime of love. The care, compassion, and dedication shown by the ICU staff during the hardest time of our lives is something we will never forget.

By running this half marathon, I hope to honour Noah’s memory and give back to the teams who do everything they can for children and families when they need it most.
